Successful fundraising happens on a tight budget
You don’t have to break the bank hosting a fabulous fundraising event
When creating and coordinating fundraising events, the top priority is making them successful and memorable. This requires a good deal of planning and organization, but—thankfully—not necessarily a whole lot of cash.
Whether you’re planning a movie night, a dance-a-thon, or a carnival, we’d love to work with you! We have rental equipment that will help make your event a success.
On top of dishware, glassware, flatware, linens, and napkins, we also carry a large selection of balloons, paper lanterns, twinkle lights, and disco balls to shine a little light on your cause. We also have numerous novelty items like popcorn makers, snow cone and cotton candy machines, hot dog machines, and chocolate fountains to add to the fun.
And don’t forget the best part—we always do the dishes for you!
With a little creativity, effort, and organization you can pull off a fabulous fundraiser that will keep money in the bank. After all, the bottom line is about raising money for a great cause.
5 things that will help you raise money on a tight budget
Select a simple theme. Having a theme will give your event structure and consistency. It’s also a great way to stay organized, simplify the rest of your planning, and save dollars when it comes to venue, décor, and food.
Keep the décor simple. This is an area where it’s very easy to go overboard on the budget. By sticking with a simple theme, it’s much easier to stick with simple, inexpensive decorations.
Choose location wisely. The venue is most likely going to be the biggest expense, so ticking it off the list right away is a good idea. Unless you’re lucky enough to have the use of a wonderful space at no cost, look for off-season rates and group discounts. Don’t be afraid to haggle—it never hurts to ask for a deal and extras!
Get creative with your location. Using a creative functional space could easily save you money on decorations. Who says it has to take place in a room, when a rooftop might be available and far less expensive? The options are endless when you think outside the box.
Use electronic communication instead of print. You will save a good chunk of money when you send electronic invitations instead of paper ones. Using email or free event management software (like Eventbrite) to bring your event to life saves money and time.
Use social media.
If your school, charity, or corporation isn’t already on Facebook (and other social channels), it’s time to start. Social media is a great way to promote your event for free and spread the word across your community—and beyond. It’s also a great way to link to your website, post updates, highlight donors, and use photos to increase the attention on your cause.
After the dust has settled from all your hard work, don’t forget to take the time to send thank-you notes to everyone involved. Remembering your manners and keeping donors and hardworking volunteers happy will lead to future donations and help.
